Where can you check the updated Maya Train schedules?

The easiest way to find the available schedules for your trip is to visit the official Maya Train website to make a reservation and select the “TIMETABLE” option, your departure station, destination station, and travel date.

Cancún Airport Station serves as one of the main connection points of the Maya Train, which is why it offers some of the routes with the highest frequency of departures.

Currently, the busiest routes include:

Cancún – Mérida Teya

This is one of the most frequently used connections on the Maya Train, as it links two of the main cities in the Yucatán Peninsula and connects important tourist, commercial, and cultural destinations.

Cancún – Tulum Airport

It is another high-demand route due to the connection between the Riviera Maya hotel zone, Cancún International Airport, and Tulum International Airport.

Cancún – Palenque

It is one of the longest journeys on the route, connecting the Mexican Caribbean with Chiapas.

The complete trip takes approximately 11 hours and 21 minutes, depending on the service, stops, and schedule selected.

Time difference in Maya Train Schedules

The Maya Train Route crosses two different time zones:

• Quintana Roo: UTC-5
• Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, and Yucatán: UTC-6

Quintana Roo is one hour ahead of the rest of the Maya Train Route. For example, a passenger traveling from Mérida to Cancún should consider that upon arriving in Quintana Roo, there is a one-hour time difference.
