Cancún Station is station number 22 on the Maya Train. It is strategically located near Cancún International Airport, making it easier for travelers arriving from other destinations to continue their journey to the city, the Riviera Maya, and other destinations along the Maya Train Route.

Cancún in Mayan: Kaan and Kuum means ‘nest of snakes‘ or ‘pot of snakes‘. Originally a fishing village surrounded by virgin jungle and unknown beaches, it’s now the most recognized Mexican tourist destination in the world.

The station offers intermodal transportation services that connect passengers with Cancún International Airport and the ADO Cancún Centro Bus Terminal
Intermodal connections are coordinated with the Maya Train’s arrival and departure schedules for different destinations.
Official Intermodal Transportation: Downtown Cancún → Station
If you are traveling from downtown Cancún to the Maya Train station, you can take the intermodal transportation service from the ADO Cancún Centro Bus Terminal.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket counters located in the central area of the terminal.

For greater convenience and to avoid queues, you can purchase your ticket in advance; you do not have to buy it on the same day of your trip. Although the first service usually departs at around 6:30 a.m., we recommend checking the schedules directly at the terminal, as they may be subject to change.

When you arrive at Cancún Maya Train Station, go to the upper level. Before exiting the station, next to the restrooms, you will find a ticket counter where you can purchase tickets for transportation to downtown Cancún

Tickets can be purchased at the ADO points of sale. The Maya Train bus service from Cancún International Airport starts at 8:00 a.m. at Terminal 4. The bus then stops at Terminal 2 at 8:10 a.m. and Terminal 3 at 8:20 a.m.
From the last terminal, the journey to the Maya Train station takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. We recommend checking the schedules directly at the terminals for the most accurate information.

Tickets to Cancún International Airport can be purchased at the same ticket counter near the station exit, where tickets to downtown Cancún are also sold.

Travel Tip
If you arrive on one of the last Maya Train services of the day, we recommend purchasing your intermodal transportation ticket as soon as possible for the trip to downtown Cancún or Cancún International Airport. Although the buses generally coordinate their departures with train arrivals, demand may be higher during the last services of the day, and buses can reach capacity quickly.
If the intermodal transportation service is already full, taxi service is also available at the station. However, the intermodal bus is usually the most economical option for continuing your journey.
