Xcalumkín Archaeological Site
This area is considered of utmost importance due to its monumental architecture and the large number of interconnected hieroglyphic inscriptions. The pre-Columbian remains of this settlement cover an area of 10 km2.
With few temples and palatial residences, lacking a ball game court, it is rich in hieroglyphic inscriptions about rulers and second and third-tier characters.
Doubly good soil exposed to the sun.
Monday to Sunday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Where is the Xcalumkín Archaeological Site Located?
It is located 188.8 miles (304 km) southwest of the city of Campeche, within the region known as Río Bec.

The hieroglyphic texts number around 250 and come from various pieces such as jambs, lintels, columns, and moldings.
