The iconic bridge known as “Boca del Cerro” in Tenosique was inaugurated in 1950. This bridge is a source of pride for Mexican engineering, built by Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México (Ferronales).

The bridge has a total length of 189 meters, with an arch span of 150 meters and a base elevation of 108 meters above sea level. Located 8 km from the municipal seat of Tenosique, the Boca del Cerro Bridge is the first notable structure that visitors encounter upon arrival.
